USA Technologies Promotes Lawlor To Chief Services Officer Ups Board To Seven Members

MALVERN, PA -- Cashless vending leader USA Technologies Inc. has promoted Michael K. Lawlor to chief services officer. Lawlor, 54, is charged with expanding USAT's ePort Connect business, from client support and consumer engagement to strategic partnerships. He will work with the company's electronic payments, mobile and wireless partners. More than 10,000 merchants use USAT's ePort Connect service, the company reports.

Lawlor was previously USAT's senior vice-president of sales and business development. Prior to joining high-tech vending company in 1996, he worked for Pepsi Cola Co., managing the retail, restaurant and vending business in the Dallas and Houston markets.

Separately, USAT has added financial services pro Robert L. Metzger, 48, to its board of directors. He is director of the Investment Banking Academy at the University of Illinois' Urbana-Champaign's College of Business and a lecturer at the school's Department of Finance. Previously, he was a partner at William Blair & Co. USAT's board now has seven members.
