US Foods Holding Corp. has agreed to acquire IWC Food Service, a broadline distributor located in Cookeville, Tennessee, for an undisclosed sum, according to a press release. The transaction is part of the company's tuck-in acquisition strategy and will allow US Foods to further expand its reach into the central Tennessee region, where the company does not currently have a distribution center.

IWC Food Service has more than $200 million in annual revenue and serves more than 2,700 independent restaurants, which make up more than half of its business, as well as other customers. IWC Food Service will continue to operate in the 160,000-square-foot facility where it conducts business today and will also continue service at the local Cookeville cash-and-carry store.

The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024.
