UpMeals deploys SMRT1's smart vending machines in Canada

UpMeals, a Vancouver based foodservice provider, has agreed to launch 22 SMRT1 POD (personalized-on-demand) smart vending machines from SMRT1 Technologies across Canada over the next three years, according to a press release.

SMRT1 POD smart vending machines harness cloud-connected software to make healthy food available 24/7 for corporate and retail environments. UpMeals provides the R&D, packaging and labeling while the SMRT1 POD ensures safe and convenient delivery to the customer with real-time data to ensure freshness and full visibility into the customer journey.

SMRT1 launched a FrontFundr campaign in July to raise a second seed round of funding.
