United Food Group develops solution for high-volume coffee catering

United Food Group, a manufacturer of dry powdered mixes, has introduced a product designed to meet the high demand for coffee in the catering industry, according to a press release. The company's 40-gram pouch of Micro-Ground Coffee can be instantly dissolved in a gallon of hot water, allowing catering companies to serve a large number of guests quickly.
The product was developed in response to a challenge posed by Bob Quartrocci, president of carts of Chicago Catering, who sought a way to serve over 1,500 cups of coffee at an event in less than an hour.
"This saves a caterer a significant amount of brew time and preparation," Russ Law, UFG sales manager, said in the release.
Based in Elgin, Illinois, United Food Group produces food items and dispensing equipment for various sectors, including food service, convenience stores and hospitality.
