UNFI consolidates regions, will lay off 150

United Natural Foods Inc. has consolidated its operating regions and will eliminate about 150 positions, according to a press release.

The company consolidated its four operating regions into three to speed decision making and reduce administrative layers.

The three new regions will be called East, Central and West.

In March, the company named Erin Horvath chief operating officer and Louis Martin president of wholesale to better align leadership teams.
