UK’s Hopwells acquires Windsor Foodservice

Hopwells, a Bilborough, U.K.-based frozen food wholesaler, has acquired Windsor Foodservice, based in Barnsley, U.K., a provider of chilled goods including meat and poultry, for an undisclosed sum, according to a Nottingham Post report.

Tristan Hopwell, managing director of Hopwells, said there is no plan to change the branding of either company.

Pete Whitehead, current CEO of Windsor Foodservice, said he plans to retire.
