JJ Foodservice, an Enfield, U.K.-based foodservice wholesaler, managed to thrive during the coronavirus pandemic by expanding for the first time into the direct-to-home market, according to a report in the Grocer. The company's sales rose by 1.3% in 2020.
The company set a minimum order at £79 ($110) and lowered its minimum B2B minimum order from £125 ($174) at the same time.
The company also added 12 smaller vehicles for deliveries.
More than 30,000 customers registered for the service and weekly orders rose from 24,000 to 34,000.
