A couple of British farmers are selling fresh milk using vending machines, meeting the need for milk caused by a shortage in supermarkets during the pandemic lockdown, according to a Daily Mail report.

Townsend Farm in Marsh Gibbon, near Bicester in Oxfordshire, sells pasteurized milk from a vending machine called "the milk churn" which is available seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Customers can bring their own bottles or purchase a glass bottle from the farm. The customer follows the instructions on the machine to fill the bottle from the machine. There are also 12 milkshake syrups available to turn the drink into a flavored milkshake. The machine is serving more than 100 customers per day.

Another self-service machine is available 24 hours a day at a roadside stand operated by Mynydd Mostyn Dairy Farm in North Wales. The stand offers returnable glass bottles.
