UK amusement park installs self service kiosks

Pleasure Beach, an amusement park in Great Yarmouth, U.K., has introduced access control gates and self service kiosks for purchasing tickets using Semnox Solutions' Tixera Park and Attractions Solutions, according to a press release.

Prior to adopting Semnox's solutions, Pleasure Beach relied on traditional methods such as metal tokens and paper bands for park operations. The manual processes included counting tokens and manually validating membership cards.

The park now offers 10 access control gates with an entry validation system, more than 30 XTER readers at rides, annual membership management software with photo validation, online and on- site attraction bookings and seven self-service kiosks.
