U-Vend Names Mark Chapman US President

SANTA MONICA, CA -- U-Vend Inc. has appointed Mark A. Chapman as president of its U-Vend America Inc. division. He will be responsible for the company's U.S. business development and oversee its overall domestic market expansion.

U-Vend has partnered with Mini Melts, Del Monte and Arthur's Smoothies for rights to sell their products through vending machines dedicated to its partner's brand.

Chapman brings more than three decades' experience in the retail and consumer products industry. Most recently, he was president and chief operating officer of Houston-based Sweet Marie Inc. He was also chief executive of Harmony Products Group, and held senior-level marketing posts at Dr Pepper Co., Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. and Malt-O-Meal.

Chapman founded United Sales Inc., a Midwest sales, marketing and consumer products distribution company, which he subsequently sold to Fleming Inc.
