U-Vend Leases Facility To Support Southern California Expansion

SANTA MONICA, CA -- U-Vend Inc. said it is leasing 2,800 square feet in Orange, CA, that increases square footage by 75% over its previous facility. It will be used for warehouse and office space to support the company's current expansion in the southern California market.

In addition to housing its general corporate operations and marketing functions, U-Vend said the facility will function as an incubator and evaluation center for vending machines and merchandisers.

In October, U-Vend acquired territory rights from Mini Melts USA Inc. for the placement of Mini Melts venders and the establishment of wholesale operations within 10 counties in southern California and the greater Las Vegas area. The company expects to install at least 100 additional Mini Melt kiosks in these territories over the next 24 months.

In addition to its regional rollout of Mini Melts vending machines, U-Vend said it is exploring wholesale markets for distribution of the cryogenically frozen ice cream to theaters, zoos, ballparks, festivals and other high-traffic locations.
