U-Select-It Introduces Greenlite Card And Mobile Cashless Payment Option

NEED TO KNOW:Application programs for smartphones and tablets enable operators to access information about Greenlite-equipped USI equipment at a secure website by connecting to the Internet from anywhere.

USI observed that credit/debit card and mobile cashless payment capability is becoming a must-have for forward-thinking operators, especially those serving the younger, more tech-savvy market whose members tend to carry less (or no) cash. Alert vendors recognize the sales lift that results from the ability to accept "what they have in their pockets," as well as the higher margins yielded by premium products that command higher vend prices.

The Greenlite solution incorporates the latest in credit/debit card transaction technology, and comprehensive mobile payment acceptance. It works with such brands as Softcard and Apple Pay. USI explained that the value of Greenlite extends beyond payment processing. It incorporates many of Cantaloupe Systems' cloud-based management tools, including machine sales reporting, integrated cash and cashless data, machine hardware health alerts, DEX functionality and pricing issues.

According to the manufacturer, the standard Greenlite option can make any vending operation more efficient and enable it to realize real savings.

An optional extension augments those efficiencies and savings. Greenlite Data enables operators to expand and enhance their businesses with management tools for product planogramming, product database management, scheduling and warehouse prepick functions and more, all available remotely from any Web browser. This permits the operator to keep a finger on the pulse of the business at any hour of the day or night, seven days a week.

USI pointed out that when operators reduce bookwork, cash handling and "windshield time," they reduce their overall business costs. They then can reallocate those funds to improving the operation.
