The Cass County, Indiana health department said on Wednesday it has seen just under 1,200 positive COVID-19 cases, including almost 900 employees at the Tyson Food plant in Logansport that have tested positive, according to a WISH-TV report.

The pork processing plant voluntarily closed for 14 days.

The company closed plants in Waterloo, Iowa, and Logansport, Indiana last week to test workers for COVID-19, and has warned that "millions of pounds of meat" will disappear from the supply chain as processing plants close on account of the coronavirus pandemic.
