Tyson Foods, Inc. is cooperating with the U.S. Department of Justice on a price fixing justification in the chicken industry, the company announced in a press release.

The company was served with a grand jury subpoena from the department’s antitrust division in April of 2019 concerning the investigation into the broiler chicken industry, according to the release.

The department has charged multiple industry executives.

Following the subpoena, Tyson uncovered information in connection with the investigation and has been fully cooperating with the DOJ as part of its application for leniency, according to the release.
