The Beatles, TouchTunes jukebox, Virtuo jukeboxNEW YORK CITY -- TouchTunes first welcomed the Beatles to its Internet jukebox network in April 2012, just 16 months after the band's music arrived on iTunes. TouchTunes, which administers an in-venue interactive music and entertainment platform in some 65,000 bars and restaurants in North America, announced this week that it has renewed its exclusive jukebox license for the Beatles.

The renewal agreement allows TouchTunes to continue to offer all of the Beatles' 13 studio albums and the two-volume "Past Masters" compilation, the classic "Red" and "Blue" collections, the "1" hits collection and the "Love" album.

Even more, the new agreement adds the "Anthology Highlights," a 23-track collection of essential Beatles songs. It contains rarities, outtakes and alternative performances from the band's "Anthology" series.

"TouchTunes remains dedicated to providing the best possible music experience for our customers," said chairman and chief executive Charles Goldstuck. "With our coverage of the Beatles, the most iconic band of all time, we continue to deliver on that promise."

Since the Beatles' TouchTunes debut three years ago, the group's most-played song has been "Come Together." Other popular tracks on TouchTunes' jukeboxes are "Here Comes The Sun," "Hey Jude," "With A Little Help From My Friends" and "Twist and Shout."

Because of a long legal battle between the band and Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.), the Beatles' music is relatively new to the digital realm. Between 1978 and 2006, there were disputes between Apple Corps (owned by the Beatles) and the computer manufacturer over competing trademark rights, including the use of the name "Apple." The companies announced a final settlement in 2007.
