NEW YORK CITY -- Today's total solar eclipse, known as the "Great American Eclipse," was visible within a band across the entire contiguous United States passing from the Pacific to the Atlantic coast. In other countries, it's only visible as a partial eclipse.
While the historic celestial event has now passed, it's expected to be a big topic of discussion in bars and restaurants for weeks to come. So
TouchTunes, the nation's largest digital jukebox network, created a special playlist to help bargoers celebrate the occasion. It went live last week.
TouchTunes' "Solar Eclipse 2017" features Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart," The Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun," Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" and Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun," along with King Harvest's "Dancing In The Moonlight" and Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine," among others. The playlist played on jukeboxes free as the eclipse passed over the United States, and will be available through Sunday. Banners on TouchTunes' jukeboxes are promoting the playlist.
The next total solar eclipse to cross the United States will happen in April 2024.
