LONDON -- TouchGo Technology Systems Ltd. is seeking to raise capital at Crowdcube to further develop its intelligent PC-based vending machines.

TouchGo announced in September that that it had partnered with Zapp, an initiative of the UK's VocaLink payment processing network, to enable mobile payments at its machines in the United Kingdom, which are manufactured exclusively for TouchGo. | READ MORE

The video-enabled PC-based vending machines feature connectivity through Microsoft's Azure cloud and a 46" touchscreen interface.

"We have big plans to develop more software, including smartphone-based applications and payment systems for our intelligent vending machines and coffee tower [a new concept] as part of our vision to bring real innovation to the vending industry," said TouchGo founder Per Hovland.

Equity-based crowdfunding is a new way for businesses to raise funds from a broad range of investors through an online platform. Eligible investors receive shares in exchange for capital, which is used to help businesses grow. TouchGo is hoping to raise £250,000 ($377,000) in 31 days through its campaign.
