Tomra launches high-capacity reverse vending machine in Ireland

Tomra Collection, a global manufacturer of reverse vending machines, has introduced its Tomra R1 to the Irish market, according to a Checkout report.

The machine allows consumers to return over 100 drinks containers at once which streamlines the recycling process.

The Tomra R1 is designed to meet the growing demand for efficient recycling solutions in Ireland, particularly since the implementation of the Deposit Return Scheme in February 2023. By enabling bulk returns, the machine aims to encourage more people to participate in recycling efforts and contribute to a more sustainable future.
