Tide Rock acquires Airsupply, expanding tool kitting, vending solutions

Tide Rock, an unlevered buyout firm, has acquired Airsupply Jeyco, now renamed Airsupply Tools, LLC, according to a press release. Airsupply specializes in tool kitting and maintenance, repair and operations products and distribution for defense, aerospace and industrial clients. Notably, Airsupply offers a range of vendor managed inventory solutions, including tool vending machines for PPE, consumables, durables and fasteners, as well as shelf and cabinet-based VMI and scanner-based options.

They are the sole manufacturer of "white box" kits used by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, featuring patented shadow backgrounds for tool control. Airsupply also creates custom tool pouches and kits compliant with NAVAIR standards.

"With Tide Rock's support, Airsupply will expand its reach, scaling its patented solutions to serve a growing base of aerospace and defense customers," Sean Hutchens, president of Airsupply, said in the release.

The acquisition of Airsupply adds to Tide Rock's holdings in the aerospace and defense manufacturing sector.
