Source: AMOA-NY | Released Jul. 17, 2015 NEW YORK, NY -- July 17, 2015 --The Amusement and Music Owners Association of New York Inc. (AMOA-NY) said it has made a $1,000 contribution to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund in recognition of Matthew Kaufman.Matthew Kaufman, son of Julie Shelffo and AMI Entertainment Network's John Margold, died last month. Kaufman, an Iraq War veteran, was struggling from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which brought about a lethal accident that took his life here. He was 33. | SEE STORY
IFHF is a non-for-profit organization supported by Kauffman's parents.
"AMOA-NY members and its president Ken Goldberg, Emerson Amusement (Woodside, NY), encourage all throughout the industry to follow our lead," the association said. "We make this contribution to recognize the heroism of Matthew, through his military service, recognizing how he stood for the best that America has to offer in his demonstrated willingness to defend our nation when he was called upon---even sacrificing his life."
Founded in the 1940s, AMOA-NY Inc. is a nonprofit group that represents the interests of businesses that own and install coin-operated amusement and music equipment in locations throughout New York State.
