AUSTIN, TX -- The Texas Merchandise Vending Association will host its third biennial lobby day on Feb. 4 at the state capitol in Austin.
TMVA board members will meet with the state's legislators to educate and inform them about the vending industry and its contributions to the state's economy. They will also provide product samples to more than 180 legislators and staff at the capitol.
TMVA is a state council of the Chicago-based National Automatic Merchandising Association.
"TMVA is committed to its plan to influence policies benefiting business in Texas, and relationships forged and information shared with legislators at this event will be essential to moving forward with TMVA's advocacy goals this year," said NAMA senior director of government affairs Sandy Larson.
TMVA lobbyist Mario Munoz said the group will focus on small business, taxes and limited government when it comes to those issues.
