Team Dart 2018 Will Move To The Westgate Las Vegas

MOKENA, IL -- The AMOA-National Dart Association said it is moving the venue for next year's Team Dart tournament to the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. The soft-tip electronic darting competition has been held at Bally's Las Vegas for many years, including this year's 32nd annual staging. 

Located off the famed Las Vegas Strip, the Westgate is just three miles from Fremont Street downtown (about a $7 ride via Uber) and is a stop on the monorail, NDA executive director Jack Kelleher said. Other benefits for players include: an $83 room rate, cheaper than Bally's; complimentary room Wi-Fi; and no resort or parking fees. The Westgate can also accommodate a playing field with 250-plus dartboards on a single floor.

"We are excited about this change, as it provides direct savings to our customers," said NDA president Shawn Smith of J&J Ventures/Kentuckiana Vendors (Evansville, IN). "We continue to listen to our players and this move shows [our] willingness to respond to better serve their interests."

Team Dart 2018 will take place May 3-9. Beyond 2018, however, the event's venue and dates have not been finalized. Kelleher said NDA has a written agreement with Bally's Las Vegas through 2022, but opted to exercise its cancellation clause for 2018 with the goal of enhancing the experience for players, spectators and association members.

The NDA is an international trade association of coin-operated vending companies representing approximately 255 members and 45,000 players.
