Tea vending operation expands in India

Cherise India Pvt. Ltd., a Pune, India-based tea manufacturer and distributor that recently expanded into vending, has deployed contactless vending machines in six cities across the country, according to a report in The Hindu Business Line. The machines connect to the Internet with a 4G sim card that communicates via a cloud server.

The technology enables the machines to report every cup of tea sold.

The machines also have self-fumigation facilities for pest protection.
