Sysco to acquire UK's Medina Foodservice

Sysco Corp., s foodservice distribution company, will acquire Medina Foodservice in the U.K. for an undisclosed sum, according to a press release.

Medina Foodservice, operating from the Isle of Wight and in Southampton in Southern England, will join another regional wholesaler, kff and the fresh businesses Fresh Direct, M&J Seafood, Fresh Fayre and Wild Harvest within the Sysco Speciality Group portfolio. Medina will continue operate independently by the current leadership and colleagues, but with additional support from Sysco.
