Sysco launches plant-based menu items and more

Sysco Corp. has launched 11 new menu concepts in its Cutting Edge Solutions platform, including plant-based items. The new items include:
- Simply Plant Based Protein is made of a superfood blend of oats , beans and peas.
- Simply Plant Based Sprouted Grain Breads available in oat grain and wheatberry are whole grain breads with no artificial ingredients.
- Simply Plant Based Vegan Cornettos are Italian croissants certified vegan.
- Arrezzio Imperial Luxe Ravioli includes goat cheese and lemon, braised beef and burrata cheese.
- Block & Barrell Imperial Spreadable Feta is a spread is available in multiple flavors including classic, rosemary basil and habanero.
- Imperial Dessert Mashups are thaw-and serve cheesecakes that include state fair-themed inspirations such as cotton candy and candy apple.
- Imperial Pimento Cheese Bites are cheese-based appetizers.
- Classic Fully Cooked Chicken Skewers are heat and serve flame-grilled chicken skewers available in halal breast or thigh options and breast piri-piri style.
- Classic Sous-Vide Sirloin Steak is made from USDA Choice grade beef.
- Simplot Junior Sidewinders Fries are smaller sized, curvy fries coated with batter.
- Tyson Boneless Thigh Wings are completely boneless.
