A Japanese reporter was pleasantly surprised to find a vending machine offering sushi outside of a Toyama Prefecture restaurant that had closed for the day, according to a soranews24.com report.

The vending machine outside Masu no Sushi Honpo Minamoto's entrance contained two products — yellowtail sushi for 1,600 yen ($12.40) and trout sushi at 1,500 yen ($11.62), each having a 2-day expiration date.

Reporter Haruka Takagi purchased the trout sushi, delivered in a wooden box, and found it delicious. The lid on the box was held in place by rubber bands and bamboo sticks. The rice and trout were tender and soft.
