NUREMBERG, Germany -- Spree Interactive plans to exhibit its free-roaming commercial multiplayer virtual reality attraction technology at this year's International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions Expo in Orlando, FL, taking place Nov. 19-22 at the Orange County Convention Center. The company will show its free-roaming VR attraction in booth E730.
Spree, formerly known as Holodeck VR, reported that the IAAPA Benchmark Report found one-third of family entertainment center guests to be 11 years old or younger. The company pointed out that most current VR attractions are designed for older age groups; there is a very large gap left by a missing core demographic.
Spree addresses this challenge by offering non-violent, kid-friendly, casual games prepackaged with Spree's VR system. A video demonstrating the system in action can be viewed here.
The Spree Arena can accommodate as many as 20 players at a time. It made its FEC debut at a trampoline park in Nuremberg, where it demonstrated its appeal as an attraction for parties.
