Sodexo has taken a majority shareholding in Fooditude, a London-based foodservices provider, according to an announcement on Sodexo's website.
The acquisition represents a "significant milestone" for Sodexo in offsite food production and food delivery, allowing the business to grow digital-enabled and consumer-focused food services.
Fooditude produces fresh food from a 20,000-square-foot central production unit n London that is delivered to corporate clients. Its client base is predominantly with media and technology organizations, with key clients including Netflix and Pinterest.
Sodexo UK has also partnered with foodservice technology provider Dynamify to develop an app-based digital retail platform to support the growing trend for a contactless food experience.
