A 24/7 teleconsultation vending machine, called Dr. Kart, has been launched in Tampines, Singapore, according to a Confirm Good report.
The machine, operated by RxMedz, offers instant medical attention and medication for common ailments like migraines, fever and colds.
Patients can register with their National Registration Identity Card or Singpass and consult with a doctor via video call. After diagnosis, medication and medical certificates are dispensed by an internal robotic arm. The service aims to provide affordable and convenient healthcare, especially for those who need urgent medical attention outside of traditional clinic hours.
While the machine is staffed by pharmacists during off-peak hours, RxMedz plans to expand the service to offer 24/7 doctor availability. The company also aims to roll out more Dr. Kart machines in partnership with Shell.
