Selecta teams with Swiss food tech firm on fast hot steam kiosk

Selecta offers Carogusto's "SiSiSI Qeamer" in its Foodies micro markets.

Selecta Group, Europe's leading route based self-service retailer, has extended its partnership with Switzerland-based food tech company Carogusto AG to provide its hot steam food solutions to all 16 European countries in which Selecta operates, according to a press release.

Selecta's hot food solution, offered through its Foodies micro market brand, offers hot-steamed meals ready to serve in 30 to 45 seconds at the push of a button. The machine automatically recognizes each individual menu and adjusts the heating accordingly using Carogusto's "SiSiSI Qeamer" concept and QR scan technology.

"In times where hybrid working models have become the 'new norm,' Foodies from Selecta delivers a premium hot food experience 247 while maximizing business continuity," Christian Schmitz, CEO of Selecta, said in the press release.
