Second generation emerges at expanding Albany OCS provider/brewer importer

The second generation of Nachtriebs have assumed key roles at Chris' Coffee Service, an Albany, New York based OCS provider and brewer importer, according to a recent feature article in the Times Union.

Last year, the new headquarters and warehouse opened, replacing the disjointed operations and warehousing facilities the company, launched by Chris Sr. in 1975, previously worked from. The new facility includes a customized cupping lab.

Chris Sr.'s children, MacKenzie Halse, Christian Nachtrieb Jr. and Taylor Nachtrieb, are now active in the business, which does $12 million in annual sales.

While the bulk of the business is from the import and sale of espresso machines, the company is expanding into private labeling exclusive roasting blends.
