Seaga Manufacturing Inc., a Freeport, Illinois-based manufacturer of automatic retail dispensing and modular inventory control solutions, has acquired Automated Merchandising Systems Inc. for an undisclosed sum, according to a press release.
AMS, founded by the late Roy Steeley, is headquartered in Kearneysville, West Virginia, with manufacturing facilities in Kearneysville and Guadalajara, Mexico.
"The combination of Seaga and AMS brands significantly strengthens our product offering in North America, Latin America and globally as we leverage each other's market reach and customer relationships," Gary Partridge, president of Seaga, said in the press release.
"We are extremely excited to join the Seaga team," Nicolas Abuid, president of AMS, said in the release. "AMS now has significantly more access to engineering and application technologies, accelerating opportunities to expand our brand globally."
"In addition, enhanced efficiencies will provide our customers with broader access to best-in-class equipment," Steve Chesney, CEO of Seaga, said in the release.
