Scotland hotel offers alcohol vending machine

Guests at the Malmaison Hotel in Glasgow, Scotland will be able to buy alcoholic beverages from a vending machine, according to an STV report. The hotel was recently granted a license despite concerns from a health official.

The hotel sought permission for the machine after removing most of its minibars.

Guests will need to show an ID to use the machine, which will be available 24 hours in the hotel lobby, to buy beer or Prosecco.

A health and social care partnership representative said the machine is inappropriate at the city's licensing board meeting Friday.
