FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- Art Dunham has joined Star Food Healthy Express following his retirement as director of foodservice for Florida's Pinellas County School Board.
Dunham brings 50 years of school experience to Star Food's reimbursable meal vending machine program. He was responsible for a $50 million budget and feeding more than 104,000 students daily at Pinellas County schools.
Dunham has served as president of the Florida School Food Service Association, and as secretary and treasurer for the School Nutrition Association. He is a Certified Food Service Professional and School Nutrition Specialist. In January, SNA honored his achievements.
"Art is well known nationally and recognized for his progressive approaches to managing the trifecta of compliance, foodservice operations and people management. And that includes understanding what kids want, too," said Bob Gottlieb, director of educational services at Star Food Healthy Express, a division of Ft. Lauderdale-based vending equipment distributor VE South.
