Salad vending machine features irrigated cabinets

A salad vending machine that keeps the salads irrigated has been developed by a hydroponic farmer, Jochen Haubner in Nuremberg, Germany. The glassfront machine, called SalaJoe to go, was presented at IPM Essen in Essen, Germany in January at the RAM GmbH Mess exhibit, according to a hortidaily.com report. 

The machine has irrigated cabinets to keep the hydroponic salads fresh. The consumer can choose a salad using the touchscreen, which activates the robotic arm to deliver the salad at the delivery chute.
