Delaware County, Oklahoma's GRAND Mental Health Clinic installed a harm reduction vending machine on its porch. The vending machine dispenses Narcan, HIV tests, pregnancy tests, wound care kits and blood alcohol tests, according to a KOSU report.
GRAND partnered with Delaware County Community Partnership, an opioid response program, and Integris Hospital to fund and install the machine. The organizations hope that these resources will reduce the amount of deaths due to opioid overdose, according to the report.
"I don't think people understand that addiction affects more people than you may realize, including people with everyday, typical jobs that you would never expect that addition as touched their lives," Brandy Myers, GRAND behavioral health coach, told the news outlet.
