Restaurant association names Sysco and PepsiCo veteran Tom Bene as president/CEO

The National Restaurant Association has named former Sysco CEO and PepsiCo president, Tom Bene as its president and CEO, as well as CEO of the NRA's educational foundation, all effective June 1, a news release said.

Most recently, he served as chairman, president, and CEO of Sysco Corp., the global foodservice distributor. Prior to joining Sysco in 2013, Bené served as president of PepsiCo Foodservice from 2011 until 2013 and also held a variety of senior leadership roles over his 23-year career with the company.
