Nestle acknowledged today that it is examining its health and nutrition strategy after the Financial Times reported an internal document described a big portion of its products as unhealthy, according to a Reuters report.
An internal presentation to top executives earlier this year said more than 60% of the company's mainstream food and beverage portfolio cannot be considered healthy under a "recognized definition of health," according to the report
The assessment applied to around half of the company's overall portfolio since medical nutrition, pet food, coffee and infant formula were excluded from the analysis.
