BOSTON -- Reebok and global architecture firm Gensler have teamed up to explore a c-store model that would turn electric-vehicle charging stations of the future into "fitness hubs," where customers can work out – and eat -- while they charge their cars.
The "Get Pumped" vision, which the companies say is currently no more than a forward-thinking concept, includes a farm-to-table eatery or a juice bar and yoga and meditation pods. Former auto-repair shops would be the site for nutrition classes, and pop-up trucks would host CrossFit training.
