SUCCASUNNA, NJ -- New from Push Beverages is its namesake soda in a strawberry flavor. It joins Push fruit-flavored pineapple, peach, orange, grape and diet orange sodas, and traditional flavors like cola, ginger ale and rootbeer.
The company said it received requests for a strawberry variety for years and finally created its targeted flavor profile after 27 formula revisions, which beats the record previously held by its peach soda.
"We wanted our strawberry to be light and refreshing, not overly sweet and syrupy like the others on the market," said Push Beverages chief financial officer Laurel Whitney. "The entire first batch has sold out already before samples have even gone out."
Push strawberry is naturally and artificially flavored and is gluten free and kosher.
Push Beverages produces 30-plus carbonated and non-carbonated drinks, available in 12-fl.oz., 20-fl.oz. and 2-liter packages under the Push, Push-2-O, Arctic Rain and Tribe Tea Brands. Its drinks are currently sold in 38 states, with plans to spread west in the near future.
