Proposed pizza machine unleashes UK obesity debate

The Portsmouth, U.K. council has encountered opposition to plans to install a pizza vending machine at a beachside car park over concerns about contributing to obesity, according to a report in The Telegraph.

The pizza vending company, Pizza Rebellion, introduced its machines in 2020 Bristol.

A Portsmouth council spokesperson said the machine is an innovative idea that could prove popular. The city will test the machine for a trial period if approval is granted.
