Printmaker Caroline Hertko features her business card sized Appalachian themed prints in a West Virginia vending machine, according to a report in The Pocahontas Times.

"This isn't an original idea," Hertko told the news outlet. "There are other art vending machines out there, and I was very inspired by the culture of different things you can put in them. I wanted to make it my own and have an Appalachian theme of the vending machine."

Hertko secured funding to purchase three vending machines through a grant from the West Virginia Department of Culture, Arts and History.

In the machine, Hertko features 18 small prints in her Appalachia series. The machine has three slots and can hold 500 prints at a time. For this series, Hertko told the news outlet that she printed 3,000 of the business card-sized prints.
