Print Mates Unveils Smartphone-Connected Photo-Printing Kiosk

SAN DIEGO -- Print Mates is rolling out a kiosk that allows customers to quickly print from their smartphone camera "roll" or text. SAN DIEGO  -- Print Mates is rolling out a kiosk that allows customers to quickly print from their smartphone camera "roll" or text. Users can also connect to their Facebook, Instagram or Google Photos account, and select from a variety of print sizes, borders and finishes.
 
In addition to photo prints, the kiosk allows for users to create premium photo goods that are then shipped to the customer's home. The product collection includes metal and wood prints, canvas products and frames.
 
Print Mates said it has piloted the kiosks around San Diego for the past year and the results have been promising with the average customer returning two to three times monthly, on average.
