Pix Patisserie, a Portland restaurant, installed a refrigerated vending machine to serve rotating trays of pork dumplings, squid, crème brûlée, macarons and other fare as a way to continue serving customers during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report in The Oregonian.
Future offerings will include imported cheese, soda and ginger beer.
Owner Cheryl Wakerhause said she had the idea for the Pix-O-Matic, which is available 24 hours a day, for six years.
