Phono-Mat in Toronto vends vinyl records

Sonic Boom Records in Toronto has launched the Phono-Mat, a vinyl record vending machine that dispenses randomly selected 7- and 12-inch vinyl records, according to an exclaim.ca report.

Craig Small — a visual artist who operates a studio, The Juggernaut, who previously created a coin operated vending machine called the Biblio-Mat at the Monkey's Paw store in Toronto that dispenses randomly selected rare books — designed the Phono-Mat.

The new machine is operated with custom tokens found at Sonic Boom's front desk. Users press a button to receive a randomly selected 7- or 12-inch vinyl record.
