Peru frozen food supplier to acquire Superior Foods International

Viru Group, a producer of canned and frozen fruits and vegetables in Peru, has agreed to acquire Superior Foods International, a Watsonville, California-based supplier of frozen products in the U.S., for an undisclosed sum, according to a press release.

"Our current management team and dedicated staff will continue to ensure we deliver ongoing value to our customers, suppliers and stakeholders," Marco Cruz, managing director of Superior Foods International, said in the press release.
