Performance Food Group standardizes fleet management with Trimble

Performance Food Group, a North American food and foodservice distributor, has chosen Trimble as its sole fleet management provider, according to a press release. The move consolidates PFG's previously fragmented systems and equips its entire fleet with Trimble's in-cab technology, doubling the number of connected trucks from 4,000 to over 8,000.

"As a large distributor focused on growth, we need a single fleet management system to support our expanding fleet," Len Lamkin, vice president, transportation, at PFG, said in the release. "Trimble was a great choice to satisfy our needs. With Trimble, all our vehicles will be in sync on the same platform, allowing us to better manage the thousands of drivers and vehicles we have on the road."

PFG supplies a diverse range of customers, including vending and office coffee service distributors. By optimizing its fleet operations through Trimble's technology, PFG aims to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to vending machines, ultimately improving the customer experience and maximizing revenue for vending operators.
