Performance Food Group opens Virginia distribution center

Performance Food Group Co., which owns Vistar Corp., the nationwide vending product warehouse distributor, recently opened a 332,000-square-foot sales and distribution center in Hanover County, Virginia, a second such facility in the area, according to a richmondbizsense.com report.

The other distribution facility is in Henrico County. The company had planned the Hanover project to replace the Henrico facility but has since reversed those plans.

The Hanover facility is expected to have a workforce of 650 people, most of which will transfer from the Henrico center. Approximately 125 new positions are expected to be filled to reach the total headcount.
