PepsiCo Inc. will receive Tesla commercial electric trucks on Dec. 1, according to a tweet from Tesla CEO Elon Musk Thursday, Reuters reported.
Musk said in 2017 that the Class 8 truck would be in production by 2019, but part shortages delayed the timeline.
The truck has a range of 500 miles and is expected to cost $180,000, but would qualify for a tax break as high as $40,000 under a U.S. Senate approved subsidy program.
PepsiCo in 2017 reserved 100 Tesla semi electric trucks.
