PepsiCo names Azevedo executive VP, promotes Andrew to sustainability chief

PepsiCo Inc. has named Roberto Azevêdo, currently director-general of the World Trade Organization, executive vice president and chief corporate affairs officer, effective Sept. 1, 2020, according to a press release.

Azevêdo currently serves as the sixth director-general of the WTO, a position he has held since September 2013. In 2008, he was appointed Brazil's ambassador to the WTO.

The company also named Jim Andrew as chief sustainability officer, in addition to his current role as executive vice president, Beyond the Bottle, effective Sept. 1, 2020. Andrew replaces Simon Lowden who will retire after 24 years.
